We are seeking a Cyber Security Specialist to help protect critical systems, networks, applications, and data against evolving cyber threats. The successful candidate will support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of security controls across the organisation, working closely with technology, risk, compliance, and business teams. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to security strategy while responding to operational priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include monitoring security alerts and events, investigating suspected incidents, coordinating containment and remediation activities, and maintaining accurate incident records. You will conduct vulnerability assessments, support penetration testing activities, review technical security configurations, and recommend practical improvements. The role will also involve contributing to security risk assessments, policy and procedure development, access control reviews, security awareness initiatives, and audit or regulatory requirements. You may be required to assist with threat intelligence analysis, security reporting, third-party risk reviews, and the testing of business continuity and incident response plans.

Applicants should have experience in cyber security, information security, infrastructure security, or a related technical discipline. Knowledge of security monitoring tools, SIEM platforms, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, identity and access management, network security, and common security frameworks is highly desirable. Relevant professional qualifications or certifications will be advantageous. You should be analytical, organised, and able to communicate technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. The ideal candidate will demonstrate sound judgement, attention to detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional integrity. The ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively across teams is essential.
