We are seeking an experienced Manager, Cyber Security Operations to lead the delivery of effective, resilient, and intelligence-led cyber security services. This role will oversee day-to-day security operations, coordinate the response to cyber incidents, and ensure that threats are identified, investigated, contained, and resolved promptly. You will provide leadership to security operations personnel and work closely with technology, risk, compliance, infrastructure, and business teams to strengthen the organisation’s overall security posture.
Key responsibilities include managing security monitoring, event triage, vulnerability management, threat detection, incident response, and security reporting. You will establish and maintain operational processes, playbooks, service measures, and escalation procedures, while continually improving the effectiveness of security controls and tooling. The role will also involve leading investigations into suspected breaches, coordinating remediation activities, supporting security testing, and ensuring that lessons learned are incorporated into future prevention and response activities. You will monitor emerging threats, assess their potential impact, and provide clear, timely updates to senior stakeholders. Where required, you will support audits, regulatory obligations, business continuity planning, and engagement with external security partners.
The successful candidate will have substantial experience in cyber security operations, including incident management, security monitoring, threat intelligence, and vulnerability or risk management. You will bring strong knowledge of security technologies such as SIEM, endpoint detection and response, identity protection, network monitoring, and cloud security platforms. Experience leading technical teams, managing suppliers, and developing operational capabilities is highly desirable. Relevant professional certifications in cyber security, information security, or service management would be advantageous. You should be an analytical and confident decision-maker with excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex technical issues into clear business impacts and practical recommendations. A proactive approach, strong attention to detail, and the ability to perform effectively during high-pressure incidents are essential.
