We are seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to design, implement and continuously improve security controls across cloud environments. You will work closely with infrastructure, platform engineering, software development and compliance teams to protect systems, applications and data while enabling secure, scalable delivery. The role will involve shaping cloud security architecture, establishing engineering standards and providing technical leadership on complex security initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining secure configurations for cloud platforms, identity and access management, network security, encryption, logging, monitoring and vulnerability management. You will identify and assess risks, lead remediation activities and support the secure design and deployment of cloud-native services. You will also build and enhance security automation through infrastructure-as-code, policy-as-code and continuous integration and delivery pipelines. The role includes investigating security events, contributing to incident response, conducting threat modelling and supporting audits, risk assessments and regulatory requirements. You will help define practical security policies and mentor engineers in secure cloud practices.

To succeed, you will have substantial experience in cloud security engineering, with strong knowledge of at least one major cloud platform and a solid understanding of multi-cloud or hybrid environments. You should be confident working with IAM, container and Kubernetes security, networking, secrets management, security monitoring and common cloud attack patterns. Experience with tools such as Terraform, cloud-native security services, SIEM platforms and automated testing frameworks is highly desirable. Strong scripting or programming skills, ideally in Python, PowerShell or a similar language, are expected. Relevant professional certifications are advantageous. You will be an analytical and collaborative problem-solver who can communicate complex technical risks clearly, influence stakeholders and balance robust security with operational and business needs.
