We are seeking an experienced OT Cyber Security Lead to develop and strengthen cyber security across operational technology environments. This role will provide technical leadership, strategic direction and practical guidance to protect industrial control systems, supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) platforms, engineering networks and other critical operational assets. You will work closely with IT, engineering, operations, risk and compliance teams to ensure security is embedded throughout the lifecycle of OT systems, from design and commissioning through to maintenance and decommissioning.

Key responsibilities will include developing and implementing an OT cyber security strategy, standards and policies; maintaining an accurate understanding of OT assets, vulnerabilities and risks; and leading security assessments, threat modelling and improvement programmes. You will define and monitor appropriate security controls, support network segmentation and secure architecture design, and oversee vulnerability management, access control, monitoring and incident response capabilities. The role will also contribute to the development and testing of cyber incident and business continuity plans, coordinate responses to security events, and provide clear reporting on risk, compliance and remediation progress to senior stakeholders. You will promote secure-by-design principles and help build cyber security awareness across operational teams.

Applicants should have substantial experience in OT, industrial cyber security or a closely related discipline, with a strong understanding of ICS, SCADA, PLC, DCS and industrial networking technologies. Knowledge of recognised frameworks and standards such as IEC 62443, NIST Cybersecurity Framework and ISO 27001 is highly desirable. Experience conducting risk assessments, managing security projects and working across complex, safety-critical environments is essential. Relevant professional certifications, such as CISSP, GICSP, GRID or equivalent, would be advantageous. Strong communication, influencing and problem-solving skills are required, together with the ability to translate technical risks into practical business outcomes and work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
