We are seeking a skilled Cloud Security Engineer to help protect cloud-based infrastructure, applications, and services across a dynamic technology environment. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain security controls across public and hybrid cloud platforms, supporting secure architecture, resilient operations, and compliance with relevant industry standards. You will work closely with infrastructure, software engineering, DevOps, and governance teams to identify risks and embed security throughout the development and deployment lifecycle.
Your responsibilities will include assessing cloud configurations, reviewing infrastructure-as-code, implementing identity and access management controls, and monitoring environments for vulnerabilities, threats, and policy violations. You will develop and maintain security automation, logging, alerting, and incident response capabilities, while contributing to threat modelling, risk assessments, and security reviews. The role will also involve investigating security events, supporting remediation activities, documenting technical standards, and providing guidance on secure cloud adoption. You will help improve security maturity by identifying opportunities to streamline controls and increase visibility across cloud services and workloads.
Applicants should have professional experience in cloud security, cybersecurity, infrastructure engineering, or a related field, with practical knowledge of platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Experience with IAM, network security, encryption, vulnerability management, security monitoring, containers, and CI/CD pipelines is highly desirable. Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools, scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell, and security frameworks including NIST, CIS, or ISO 27001 would be advantageous. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to explain technical risks clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Relevant cloud or security certifications are welcomed but not essential.
