We are seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to help protect critical systems, applications, networks, and information assets from evolving cyber threats. The successful candidate will monitor security events, investigate alerts, identify vulnerabilities, and support the timely resolution of incidents. You will work closely with technology and business teams to strengthen security controls, improve resilience, and promote secure working practices across the organisation.
Key responsibilities will include analysing alerts from security information and event management platforms, endpoint protection tools, vulnerability scanners, and other monitoring solutions. You will triage and investigate suspected incidents, maintain accurate case records, escalate risks where appropriate, and contribute to containment, eradication, and recovery activities. The role will also involve conducting vulnerability assessments, tracking remediation actions, reviewing system and application logs, supporting access and configuration reviews, and assisting with security testing. You may contribute to incident response exercises, threat intelligence assessments, audit preparation, risk reporting, and the development of security policies, procedures, and awareness materials.
Applicants should have practical experience in a cyber security, security operations, incident response, or related technical role, together with a sound understanding of common attack techniques, vulnerabilities, authentication methods, network principles, and security frameworks. Experience with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, ticketing, or cloud security tools is desirable. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Relevant qualifications such as Security+, CySA+, SSCP, or equivalent experience would be advantageous. You will be expected to work methodically, maintain confidentiality, demonstrate sound judgement, and keep your knowledge current as the threat landscape develops. A willingness to participate in an on-call or out-of-hours response rota may also be required.
