We are seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to help protect critical systems, applications, networks, and data in a complex technology environment. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and continuously improving security controls across cloud and on-premises infrastructure. Working closely with engineering, operations, architecture, and risk teams, you will provide technical leadership and help ensure that security is embedded throughout the technology lifecycle.

Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining security solutions, monitoring and investigating potential threats, supporting incident response, and conducting vulnerability assessments and remediation activities. You will contribute to security architecture and design reviews, threat modelling, penetration testing coordination, identity and access management, endpoint protection, network security, and cloud security initiatives. You will also help define security standards, procedures, and technical controls; analyse security events and trends; and provide clear recommendations to reduce risk. The role may involve mentoring junior security professionals, supporting audits and compliance activities, and participating in an out-of-hours incident response rota when required.

Applicants should have significant experience in cyber security engineering, security operations, or a closely related discipline, together with strong knowledge of security principles, threat detection, vulnerability management, and incident handling. Practical experience with cloud platforms, SIEM technologies, endpoint detection and response, firewalls, identity services, scripting, and security automation is highly desirable. Relevant industry certifications or equivalent practical experience would be advantageous. You should be confident communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, able to assess complex problems, and capable of balancing security requirements with business and operational needs. A proactive approach, strong analytical skills, sound judgement, and a commitment to continuous learning are essential.

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager – Cybersecurity to lead the development, delivery and continuous improvement of security engineering capabilities. In this role, you will manage a team of security engineers and technical specialists, provide clear direction and mentorship, and foster a collaborative, high-performing environment. You will work closely with technology, infrastructure, software development, risk and compliance teams to ensure security is embedded throughout the organisation’s systems, products and operations.

Your responsibilities will include setting engineering priorities, translating cybersecurity strategy into practical delivery plans, and overseeing the design, implementation and operation of security controls and platforms. You will guide initiatives across areas such as cloud security, identity and access management, application security, vulnerability management, detection and response, network security and security automation. You will establish engineering standards, review architecture and technical designs, manage delivery risks, and monitor performance against agreed objectives. The role will also involve supporting incident response, contributing to security assessments, managing external technology partners and communicating complex technical matters to senior stakeholders.

To be successful, you will have proven experience leading cybersecurity, security engineering or infrastructure engineering teams, together with a strong understanding of modern security principles, threats and technologies. Experience designing and operating security solutions in cloud and hybrid environments is highly desirable, as is familiarity with automation, DevSecOps practices, secure software development and relevant regulatory or industry frameworks. You should be an effective people leader with strong planning, prioritisation and stakeholder management skills, able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on technical judgement. Professional certifications in cybersecurity, cloud security or information security are advantageous. A degree or equivalent experience in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity or a related discipline is preferred.
