We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Manager to lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of an organisation-wide cyber security programme. You will provide strategic direction while remaining closely involved in operational security, helping to protect systems, applications, networks, data and users against evolving threats. The role will involve working with senior stakeholders, technology teams and business functions to establish effective security practices that support organisational objectives and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities will include maintaining and enhancing security policies, standards and procedures; overseeing risk assessments, vulnerability management and security testing; and coordinating incident response activities from initial detection through to investigation, remediation and post-incident review. You will manage security monitoring and reporting, support threat intelligence activities, and ensure appropriate controls are implemented across cloud, on-premises and third-party environments. The successful candidate will also lead security awareness initiatives, contribute to business continuity and disaster recovery planning, and manage relationships with external security partners and service providers.

You will bring substantial experience in cyber security, information security or a related discipline, including proven experience managing security operations, risk or governance programmes. Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST or CIS is required, together with an understanding of data protection, identity and access management, network security, cloud security and secure software development practices. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC or equivalent would be advantageous. Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder-management skills are essential, as is the ability to translate technical risks into clear business priorities. The role requires a proactive, analytical and collaborative approach, with sound judgement and the confidence to influence decision-making at all levels.
